Tickets for the 2023 Glynn County Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will go on sale starting next Monday, June 26.
The dinner banquet and ceremony is set to take place Friday night, July 21, at the Jekyll Island Convention Center.
Tickets to this year’s Induction Banquet will be sold online through the Glynn County Sports Hall of Fame website, www.gcshof.com. Tickets are $55 for the buffet-style dinner and induction ceremony.
Ticket sales will continue through Thursday night, July 13. The Hall of Fame is required to provide a head count to the convention center the following day for food-ordering purposes, thus attendance numbers must be finalized a week prior to the banquet date.
The dinner banquet will begin at 6:30 p.m.. A social hour will be held at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar available.
The 2023 Induction Class features John L. Cash (former Risley High and Denver Broncos football player), Kenny Dawson (former Brunswick High and Savannah State football great), Felecia “Lisa” Morris Harris (former Glynn Academy and Bethune-Cookman basketball standout), Earnest Palmer (former Brunswick High standout running back), Tash Van Dora (star quarterback for 1964 Glynn Academy state-title team who also played at Georgia Tech) and John Willis (longtime head football coach at Brunswick High).
“This should be another great evening for our inductees, their families and friends and also our community,” said Kevin Price, Hall of Fame President. “We hope the local community will come out and help us honor this great group of inductees as we celebrate more history in Glynn County sports.”
The Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization that formed in 2011.
The Hall of Fame has partnered with a reputable third-party service, Eventbrite, to provide a secured online option for ticket purchases. A small transaction fee has been added to the ticket price, but the process is made to be quick and easy for everyone.
When making an online purchase, you will receive a confirmation number and also a digital ticket. Please bring your ticket to the banquet, however, the Hall of Fame will also have a list of ticket-buyers at the check-in table to confirm your purchase.
